NorStates Bank's Gina Nevin Earns Toastmasters International Award

Lake County, IL, May 28, 2009--NorStates Bank, a community bank with eight branches in Lake County is pleased to announce that Gina Nevin recently completed her Advanced Communicator Silver designation with Toastmasters International. Advanced Communication Silver involves the completion of ten advanced presentations, as well as two educational speeches--all following specific guidelines described in Toastmasters International materials.

As NorStates Bank's corporate training officer, Gina's involvement with the Toastmasters organization will certainly prove valuable to the bank's staff and customers. "I've capitalized on several opportunities within Toastmasters that have improved my speaking and leadership skills. Being able to deliver useful presentations, communicate a clear message, and exhibit strong leadership skills are all essential to my position as a trainer at NorStates Bank," says Nevin.

Since joining Toastmasters, Gina has taken on several roles within the club including secretary and VP public relations. On July 1, 2009, she will assume the position of president for the Walworth County Club, as well as the district public relations officer position covering the state of Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. She is also a member of Toastmasters District 35 Speakers Service, which provides organizations with quality presenters for meetings and special events.
